How To Meet Women By Creating A Habit
On our pua training courses I often get asked how we can integrate the act of meeting women into our everyday lives so that we can approach women naturally when the opportunities present themselves.
Willpower and determination can keep us going for a while but so often in life other things come along which distract us and we can find days, weeks or even months have gone by without speaking to any new women.
From my experience, the answer is that we need to create a habit of starting conversations with women so we do it automatically.
How To Meet Women By Creating A Habit #1: Step By Step
We teach on our approach anxiety courses that sometimes the prospect of meeting women can feel quite scary and I have found the best way to overcome this is by building up in stages and gradually expanding our comfort zone.
We could start by getting comfortable going to places where women are likely to be, then practising getting proximity to girls we like and followed by starting conversations by simply asking for directions.
Once we are comfortable with each step we can move onto the next one. Before we know it, we’ll be giving direct compliments, having longer interactions and arranging dates with girls.
How To Meet Women By Creating A Habit #2: Consistency
We teach on our dating coach courses that in order to create a habit we need practice it consciously on a regular basis until it becomes an autopilot response.
I have found a great way to do this is by setting ourselves a target of starting one conversation a day for 30 days, even if it’s just asking directions or speaking to a shop assistant.
By focusing our energy on this task for a period of time, we’ll find that it becomes easier and easier until we no longer have to think about it at all.
How To Meet Women By Creating A Habit #3: Rewards
If we beat ourselves up after an interaction for doing something wrong, we are less likely to approach the next girl because we are associating negative emotions to the behaviour, and it’s then likely that we’ll never progress to learn how to kiss a girl for the first time.
Whatever happens during an interaction we should reward ourselves for taking action. This could be as simple as telling ourselves that we’re awesome or buying ourselves a coffee and a cake after making our daily approach.
Keeping track of progress can also give us a great feeling of satisfaction. When we see how many approaches we’ve made at the end of the month it helps remind us that we’re getting closer to our overall goal.
